Pilates Studio

This Pilates studio project involved a tailored commercial fit out focused on creating a calm, well considered space that supports both movement and overall experience. The brief was to move away from a typical gym setting and instead deliver a more refined, wellness focused environment. The layout needed to accommodate reformer equipment while maintaining clear sight lines and an open, uncluttered feel.

The design adopts a soft, minimal palette to create a sense of calm throughout the space. Curved elements have been introduced to reflect the fluid nature of Pilates, helping to shape a more relaxed and cohesive environment. Acoustic performance was carefully considered, with wall treatments selected to reduce noise and maintain a quieter atmosphere within a busy commercial setting. Lighting has been designed to be indirect and adjustable, minimising glare while highlighting key finishes and joinery.

The result is a well resolved studio that feels balanced, functional and easy to use. The layout maximises the available space without overcrowding, supporting both movement and comfort. This project reflects Baiss Design’s approach to commercial interiors, combining practical requirements with a clear and consistent design outcome.
